About Us

Established in 1954 by Dharam Pal Gupta, Purshotam Das Gupta and Rajkumar Bansal, the Liberty group has grown into the largest footwear manufacturer and retailer across India. Initally called “Pal Boot House,” the liberty group has never shied away from evolving to meet the needs of the market.

Over the last 60 years, Liberty Shoes has gone from strength to strength in the footwear market, carving out a place for itself in the Indian zeitgeist.

In line with their path-breaking, visionary past, the Liberty Group looks to expand their reach beyond footwear, entering the lifestyle market in earnest, for the first time in their history with the creation of a line of finely crafted fragrances for him and her.

Crafted by master perfumers from France, the LL perfumes exude a sense of class and quality unseen by the Indian Market before. The new brand identity – Liberty Lifestyle, was created keeping in mind the growing aspiration of the modern Indian.

Indeed, the logo reflects a brand finally choosing to be liberated, choosing to embrace a new path and create something unseen and different from before.

Story Behind Our Logo

Created to represent the new face of an age old company, the LL Logo has come to encapsulate a new Liberty – A company reaching towards the upper echelons of luxury lifestyle, unencumbered by its past and convention. Indeed, the logo reflects a brand finally choosing to be liberated, choosing to embrace a new path and create something unseen and different from before.

Designed to reflect a new opulent identity, the LL logo summarises the journey of Liberty group and its foray into a new world of liberty lifestyle. The mirror L’s represent the the old liberty and the new, the changing of the guard from one thought to another.

The Mirror L’s, which stands for the newly created Lifestyle division of the parent company have been designed to resemble a pair of feet, subliminally connecting the new brand with its routes in the footwear industry.

A combination of Midnight Black and Opulent Gold, the colour schemes reflect the core of luxury, reminiscent of candlelight across an ink-black sky.

Connecting the old with the new, a history of retail with a future in luxury, an old business with a new, savvy customer base, the LL logo truly reflects what it means to Live your Liberty!
